A Requiem in St. Stephen's Cathedral, Professor Norio Suzuki

January 1970

Professor Norio Suzuki is one of Japan's most respected choral conductors, conductors and composers. Throughout Japan there are choir associations working with Professor Suzuki on joint concert projects.

This year we have managed to inspire an all-Japanese choir and Professor Suzuki for a concert in favour of our St. Stephen's Cathedral.

For this performance Professor Suzuki composed his works Ave Maria, Mather Theresa and Requiem and rehearsed them with his choir members. Of course, such a concert cannot be performed without a work by the great master Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, which is why his famous Ave Verum Corpus was included in the programme.

We are looking forward to an interesting programme with an international cast in St. Stephen's Cathedral!
