Get in the mood for Christmas with the Emperor Quartet Vienna and solo singers as well as a programme of the finest Christmas carols and festive music!

This year again, the Capuchin Church in Vienna’s city center, location of the world-famous Imperial Crypt, invites you to the Sound of Christmas concerts from Friday to Sunday on the four Advent weekends.

In the heated church that shines in new splendor since its renovation, the Christmas concerts span a majestic arc of festive trumpet music, selected texts and the finest Christmas carols. The excellent strings of the Vienna Emperor Quartet are combined with trumpet, solo voice and texts - a wonderful way to prepare for the approaching Christmas in a contemplative and joyful way!

Capuchin Church is centrally located near the Albertina on Neuer Markt in Vienna's city centre and is known for the Imperial Crypt, which served as the Habsburg burial site for centuries. Its modest interior is also its major asset - visitors are fascinated by the wooden furnishings.

Meet the Emperor Quartet Vienna, where great experience meets young esprit, where masterful interpretation is passed on to the next generation, where the joy of playing music together is passed on to the audience, and where programmes are prepared and arranged with great attention to detail. Members of the Emperor Quartet Vienna play in the most important and most famous orchestras in Vienna, teach at universities and conservatories - many of them also perform as soloists regularly. In the Emperor Quartet Vienna they share the joy of making music together.
