With "Senses" the pianist Reinhard Micko impressively presents his view of modern, melodic jazz. The quartet "Reinhard Micko Triple A" with Karl Sayer on double bass, Harry Tanschek on drums and Herb Berger on saxophone brings a breath of fresh air to the Austrian jazz scene and impresses with its harmoniously flowing interaction. Micko's original compositions convey atmospheric stories in a very personal sound.

Garnished with composition highlights from previous bands, this formation offers fresh and expressive jazz and improvisations that touch the audience creatively and authentically, from wildly grooving to spherically flowing to tenderly caressing. (press release)

Micko has acquired a form of lightness that is rare in today's often overly strenuous jazz. He trusts his intuition. He even gains new nuances from “Summertime,” which was actually played to death. (Samir Köck, Die Presse)
