The Concierto de Aranjuez, a masterpiece by Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo, evokes the beauty and charm of the gardens of the Royal Palace of Aranjuez. Composed in 1939, this concerto for guitar and orchestra captivates with its melancholy and vibrant expression of the Spanish landscape and culture. With its exquisite melodies and rich instrumentation, the Concierto de Aranjuez has become an icon of Spanish classical music, delighting listeners around the world with its unmatched beauty and elegance.

On this occasion, under the direction of Xavier Puig, we will feature musician and composer Arnau Tordera (leader of the group Obeses), for whom we will premiere the work Ovnis a Montserrat, for solo voice, female choir, and orchestra, accompanied by the Cor de Noies de l'Orfeó Català. Additionally, we will also hear Una veu feta de mil veus, a composition created for the Coros Palau Vincles.

We will also enjoy the premiere of Xavier Pagès Corella's Concerto "Trifásico," a contemporary work that fuses electric guitar with the orchestra in a vibrant and innovative dialogue. With its unique combination of classical and contemporary elements, the "Trifásico" takes us on a fascinating sonic journey, exploring the expressive possibilities of the electric guitar in a symphonic context.
