Disney's classic fairy tale is back!

Be our guest as BEAUTY AND THE BEAST – THE MUSICAL comes to Denmark.

Be enchanted by Disney's magical performance filled with all the songs you know and love, such as "Be Our Guest," "Belle," "It’s True" (Beauty and the Beast) – and many more.

Look forward to experiencing the most romantic story of all time in a brand new and spectacular production featuring stunning dance numbers, magnificent scenery, and enchanting costumes. Both the dialogue and the songs are in Danish.

Once upon a time, there was a young, beautiful, and very clever girl... Belle feels lonely and out of place at home in the village; she lives with her nose in books and dreams of fantastic adventures, but when her father suddenly disappears without a trace, she is swept into the adventure of her life.

Soon, Belle finds herself in a creepy old castle, where her father is held captive by a terrible beast. Belle persuades the beast to let her father go if she stays in his place. The beast, who is actually a cursed prince, can only become human again if he learns to love – and is loved in return. He quickly becomes captivated by his beautiful captive – but how could the beauty Belle learn to love the hideous beast?

Beauty and the Beast is a wonderful tale for the whole family, told only as Disney can, with love, excitement, and an enchanted castle full of talking, dancing, and singing furniture and kitchenware: the candelabra Lumière, the clock Cogsworth, and the friendly teapot Mrs. Potts.

Of course, the performance includes all the magical songs you know and love, such as "Be Our Guest," "Belle," "It’s True" (Beauty and the Beast) – and many more. Both the dialogue and the songs are in Danish.

We recommend the performance for ages 7 and up.

The Royal Danish Theatre Old Stage

The Royal Danish Theatre (RDT, Danish: Det Kongelige Teater) is both the national Danish performing arts institution and a name used to refer to its old purpose-built venue from 1874 located on Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen. The theatre was founded in 1748, first serving as the theatre of the king, and then as the theatre of the country. The theatre presents opera, the Royal Danish Ballet, classical music concerts (by the Royal Danish Orchestra, which dates back to 1448), pop stars, and drama in several locations.

The Royal Danish Theatre organization is under the control of the Danish Ministry of Culture, and its objectives are to ensure the staging of outstanding performances that do justice to the various stages which it controls.
