Casa Cardinale Ildefonso Schuster

The House of Cardinal Ildefonso Schuster is a beautiful complex built in the 16th century on an original nucleus dating back to 1232, a hidden treasure located right in the center of Milan. The beauty and charm of its cloisters decorated with terracotta friezes and in Bramante's style, the Trivulziano and the Pio XII Hall, are undeniable. Just think of the history of the complex, which was used as a convent but also as a Military Court, up to the modifications that took place in the last century, involving one of the beautiful cloisters, which is now the Pio XII Hall, making it a covered space, to be used originally as a canteen, but then donated to culture becoming one of the city's cultural centers, now used as the Aula Magna of the State University of Milan, as well as a hall for events and concerts.
