The live film concert returns to Germany and Austria after a successful world tour.

The popular show highlight “Dirty Dancing in Concert” is in the starting blocks and promises a unique combination of cinematic atmosphere and live music. After enchanting over 200,000 fans in more than 100 shows in the USA, Europe, the UK and Australia in 2024, “Dirty Dancing in Concert” is bringing its magic back to the stages of Germany and Austria. In nine cities, the classic film, which shaped an entire generation with its soundtrack, will be presented by a live band and brought back to life on a large movie screen.

 

A journey back in time to the 60s - amidst the unforgettable love story between Baby and Johnny! At “Dirty Dancing in Concert”, the audience can not only look forward to the full-length film, but also to an outstanding soundtrack with great singers and dancers performing the unforgettable songs live and in sync with the film.

 

The movie will be shown in German and the songs will be performed in the original version.

“Dirty Dancing”, a timeless classic, tells the story of an unforgettable summer romance and inspires with its legendary soundtrack and thrilling dance scenes. The film, directed by Emile Ardolino and based on a screenplay by Eleanor Bergstein, was released in 1987 and quickly became an international box office hit. Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey played their most famous roles alongside Jerry Orbach and Cynthia Rhodes. The soundtrack spawned two albums that went platinum several times over. Among the many successful singles, the world-famous hit “(I've Had) The Time of My Life”, which won the Oscar for Best Song, stands out. With box office takings of more than 214 million dollars, “Dirty Dancing” captured the hearts of viewers worldwide. The story takes place in the summer of 1963, when Baby Houseman (Jennifer Grey) is on vacation with her family at the beautiful Catskills resort Kellerman's. Fascinated by dance teacher Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze) and the very different lives of the staff, Baby learns to dance, falls madly in love - and experiences a summer she will never forget.

It is expressly pointed out not to take larger items to the venue and to limit oneself to taking the essentials such as tickets, keys, medicines or cosmetics, money and mobile phones (other electronic devices such as GoPro´s, tablets, selfie sticks and any recording devices are not permitted).


As a guideline for bags carried, the organizer has communicated the following: Maximum size of DIN A4 (21x29 cm) can be taken to the concert.


Visitors are requested to arrive at the Wiener Stadthalle in time to facilitate the work of the security forces, ticket controls and body checks, and to shorten waiting times.

 Wiener Stadthalle is an indoor arena , located in the 15th district of Vienna, Austria . It was designed by Austrian architect Roland Rainer and built from 1953 to 1958 . The arena HAS to overall seating capacity of 16,000 people Approximately .

The arena Comprises 6 halls : A and B ( grammar school ), C (ice arena) , D ( main hall , mostly for concerts eg Metallica ), E ( for smaller events eg The Stehaufmandln ) & F ( for more intimate concerts eg Women's World Award). In 1974 , the additional Stadthallenbad , a public swimming pool , which built .

The arena hosts annual tennis tournament at , called Erste Bank Open and the show Holiday On Ice.
Many famous shows and artists played at the Wiener Stadthalle, spanning many different genres of music .
