When the curtain rises, the sun slowly rises over the savannah, Rafiki's powerful voice rings out and the animals stream onto the stage - at the latest then the fascination of Africa becomes tangible in the Stage Theater in the port of Hamburg.

 

Simba

Little lion, big adventure

His high spirits and impatience to finally grow up spur Simba on to tests of courage and daring excursions with his friend, the young lioness Nala.

 

Shadowland

But the harmony is overshadowed by the jealousy and hunger for power of Scar, the brother of King Mufasa. A story begins of fear and happiness, love and responsibility, of growing up and the search for one's own place in life.

Stage Theater in the Port of Hamburg

The Theater im Hafen hosts the successful musical Disney's THE LION KING and offers unique musical enjoyment in the breathtaking setting of Hamburg's harbor.

Even the journey to the theater in the harbor is a special experience: visitors to the musical Disney's THE LION KING are taken on special ferries from the Landungsbrücken across the Elbe to the venue before they can immerse themselves in the magical world of the musical. In addition to the maritime atmosphere and the impressive music and dance performance of the musical troupe, the theater also offers an art collection with over 50 exhibits by northern German and international artists. The theater also has the exclusively furnished Skyline Restaurant, where musical guests can indulge in culinary delights while enjoying the wonderful view of Hamburg's panorama.

 

Admission time

Admission is approximately 1.5 hours before the show starts. The exact time is indicated on your ticket.

Duration of the show

The musical lasts about 3 hours including a 20 minute break.

Restaurant

Before or after the musical, guests can enjoy the international delicacies of the SKYLINE Restaurant, with a direct panoramic view of the Hanseatic city's skyline, or enjoy ice-cold drinks and cocktails in the Stage Club.

 

Food & Drinks in the Theater

Drinks and snacks are available for purchase in the theater. Bringing food and drinks from outside is not permitted. All bags will be checked by our security staff upon entry to the theater. This also includes drink containers and food of any type and size brought from outside. Food and drinks brought from outside will be disposed of by our security staff.

 

Arrival by shuttle service

The boats depart from St. Pauli Landungsbrücken/Bridge 1 2 hours before the show starts (for afternoon shows 1.5 hours before the show starts). The crossing is included in your musical ticket and is free of charge for you. Please note: the last ferry leaves 1.5 hours after the show ends.

 

Public transport

S-Bahn lines S1 and S3 to the Landungsbrücken stop

Underground line U3 to the Landungsbrücken stop (now barrier-free)

Harbour ferry runs regularly from St. Pauli Landungsbrücken, Bridge 1 (from two hours before the start of the performance / for afternoon performances from one hour before the start of the performance)

Exclusive use of the ferries with HADAG Musical Shuttle Service (these are included in the ticket price and can therefore be used free of charge)

The last ferry departs 1 ½ hours after the end of the performance and goes back to St. Pauli Landungsbrücken (Bridge 1)
