Elsa Steixner, born and raised in Vienna, spans a musical spectrum that merges the sounds of jazz and blues tradition with the most intimate facets of singer-songwriting. Together with Julian Bazzanella (Keys) and Daniel Louis (Drums), whom she met during her music studies at the ArtEZ Academy of Music in the Netherlands, as well as Jakob Lang (Double Bass), she founded the band ELSA in 2021.
Influenced by jazz and soul music as well as the folkrock of the 70s, ELSA's compositions differ in genre and subject matter, yet meet in the essential points of sincerity and devotion. This embrace of tradition, combined with a curious and attentive look at the present, gives the music a timelessness without diminishing its topicality.
ELSA's debut album “A Day On Solid Ground” was released in the spring of 2023 on Hoanzl Austria. Currently, the band is collaborating with Viennese producer David Furrer on their second album.

PORGY and BESS Jazzclub
Porgy & Bess (actually, Jazz and Music Club Porgy & Bess ) is a jazz club in the Riemergasse 11 in the 1st district of Vienna. The club , founded in 1993 is considered " the most important jazz organizer and trendy meeting point " of the Austrian capital .
