The Easter festivities continue with Handel's oratorio La Résurrection. It is performed by Les Arts Florissants, who over the years have interpreted a significant portion of the lyrical and spiritual scores of the master.

In 2023, they were heard almost back-to-back at the Philharmonie in Ariodante and The Messiah. A week after their concert featuring German airs, the last texts in that language set to music by Handel, the Saxon who became an English subject, Les Arts Florissants, this time under the direction of Paul Agnew, take on La resurrezione. A youthful work written for Rome, where Handel was staying at the time, the oratorio was conducted at its premiere by the famous violinist and composer Arcangelo Corelli. In the purest spirit of the Italian music of his time, "il caro Sassone" (as the Romans called him) mixes sober recitatives with brilliant arias, marked by a prodigious capacity for melodic invention and accompanied by a colorful orchestra.

Grande salle Pierre Boulez - Philharmonie

The Grande salle Pierre Boulez (Symphonic Hall) boasts innovations in architecture, stage design and acoustical engineering. Thanks to a modular design, its capacity increases from 2400 people in the symphonic configuration to 3600 when the parterre is converted into a standing room area.

All five levels of the Grande salle Pierre Boulez are accessed via the entrance on Level 3 of Philharmonie, which can be reached via stairways, escalators and two lifts, with direct access from the Porte de Pantin plaza and the Philharmonie parking facility.

From the entrance, stairways and lifts inside the hall take visitors to the various levels.

The Grande Salle Pierre Boulez has thirty designated seats for people with reduced mobility.
