Ludovico Einaudi's minimalist and shimmering compositions have traveled the world and charmed cinema. His work is thrilling, alluring, elegant, meditative, and often introspective, stirring as much as it captivates. It’s no coincidence that the music of this Italian pianist-composer fascinates filmmakers worldwide; the evocative and magnetic power of Einaudi’s instrumentals is immediate. A true initiatory rite with melodies as moving as they are invigorating, it’s no surprise that he quickly found success on the international stage.
From Aprile (1998) to The Father (2020), including French hits Intouchables (2011) and Samba (2014), the Oscar-winning Nomadland (2020), and recent releases La Petite and La Tresse (2023), Ludovico Einaudi’s gentle melodic epics evoke a range of emotions, from the most melancholic to the most exalted.
