‘Mass in C Major’ by Beethoven

The conductor Philippe Herreweghe presents a monographic concert on Beethoven with his ensembles Collegium Vocale Gent and Orchestre des Champs Élysées. The selected works are nearly contemporary with each other: the popular Piano Concerto No. 4, accompanied by pianist Kristian Bezuidenhout; and the Mass in C Major, composed on commission from Prince Esterházy, which was met with skepticism at the time but is now part of the canon of the Bonn genius.
