Unclassifiable and committed, iconoclastic and eclectic, Olga Neuwirth is the guest of honor for the 2025 edition of the Présences Festival. She is here surrounded by a few other disruptors: Luciano Berio, Marc Monnet, and Michaël Levinas.
Composed in 2001, the piano concerto locus ... doublure ... solus is emblematic of the work of the Viennese composer Olga Neuwirth. Finding distant inspiration in the novel Locus Solus by Roussel—a visit to a fabulous garden adorned with increasingly elaborate and surreal works—the score is a stylistic labyrinth with complex temporal interconnections around distorted figures. Juggling references like Neuwirth, Berio attempts in Rendering to “realize” Schubert's Symphony No. 10, which has only survived in the form of pianistic fragments. Two creations, for choir and orchestra by Marc Monnet, and for orchestra by Michaël Levinas, complete this colorful program.

Grande salle Pierre Boulez - Philharmonie
The Grande salle Pierre Boulez (Symphonic Hall) boasts innovations in architecture, stage design and acoustical engineering. Thanks to a modular design, its capacity increases from 2400 people in the symphonic configuration to 3600 when the parterre is converted into a standing room area.
All five levels of the Grande salle Pierre Boulez are accessed via the entrance on Level 3 of Philharmonie, which can be reached via stairways, escalators and two lifts, with direct access from the Porte de Pantin plaza and the Philharmonie parking facility.
From the entrance, stairways and lifts inside the hall take visitors to the various levels.
The Grande Salle Pierre Boulez has thirty designated seats for people with reduced mobility.
