A Tribute to Life

We don’t know if winning a Latin Grammy at 93 years old constitutes some sort of world record, but there is no doubt that it is a spectacular milestone. Her latest album, Vida, won in the category of Best Traditional Tropical Album and received four nominations for the American Grammys.

After visiting us at the Cruïlla Festival 2023, Omara Portuondo will return to Barcelona for a stop on her Farewell Tour on October 2nd at the Palau de la Música Catalana as part of Cruïlla Tardor 2024!

The Cuban artist will present her tribute to the Buena Vista Social Club at this iconic venue in the city, of which she became the Diva in 1997 after a long solo career. She will be accompanied by the Orquesta Miguel Failde, with whom she recorded the songs Rompiendo La Rutina and Siempre tu voz.

Mexico, India, Romania, Bulgaria, Portugal, Italy, or the United States: Omara Portuondo's tour has visited all these countries, and on October 2nd, she will also perform in Barcelona as part of a new edition of Cruïlla Tardor!
