Composed exclusively of doctors from around the world with a high level of musical talent, the World Doctors Orchestra presents a rich French program, from Tomasi's brilliant Concerto to two masterpieces by Debussy and Saint-Saëns.

Founded in 2007, the World Doctors Orchestra performs in the world’s greatest venues: the proceeds from its concerts support medical, social, or cultural projects. Its program opens with Henri Tomasi's Trumpet Concerto, which was performed by Maurice André. "I tried to synthesize all the expressive and technical possibilities of the trumpet, from Bach to today, including jazz," the composer explained. From the mystery that rises from the opening bars to the epic fury that concludes the final movement, La Mer is a testament to Debussy’s artistry at its peak, while Saint-Saëns' Symphony with Organ combines the monumental nature of the instrument with a particularly brilliant texture.

Grande salle Pierre Boulez - Philharmonie

The Grande salle Pierre Boulez (Symphonic Hall) boasts innovations in architecture, stage design and acoustical engineering. Thanks to a modular design, its capacity increases from 2400 people in the symphonic configuration to 3600 when the parterre is converted into a standing room area.

All five levels of the Grande salle Pierre Boulez are accessed via the entrance on Level 3 of Philharmonie, which can be reached via stairways, escalators and two lifts, with direct access from the Porte de Pantin plaza and the Philharmonie parking facility.

From the entrance, stairways and lifts inside the hall take visitors to the various levels.

The Grande Salle Pierre Boulez has thirty designated seats for people with reduced mobility.
