Erika Stucky sees clear parallels between a live concert and a bank robbery!
Really? Yes!
It’s about a coup.
Each time, it requires precise preparation, finding the right accomplices to make the element of surprise work.
Into the concert hall - a full-throttle performance with conviction - back on the bus - and back to home base.
She needs specialists for such a musical adventure:
a pyrotechnician, a code-breaker, a driver, a card reader.
In other words, a team that understands each other perfectly and works in precise harmony at every moment.
With “Spacecake,” Stucky has gathered two of her oldest accomplices around her once again.
For over two decades, she has consistently relied on the outstanding talents of Christy Doran and Jamaaladeen Tacuma, internationally recognized masters of their craft.
Christy is known as a guitarist who fully absorbed the magic of Jimi Hendrix at a very young age, without losing his own musical personality and unique style. Few can manage that.
And Jamaaladeen received his knighthood in the band of the legendary Ornette Coleman.
