The scents and colors of Eastern nights are deeply rooted in the collective imagination of Aladdin. The engaging story of the penniless rogue Aladdin and the courageous Princess Jasmine becomes a family musical, featuring the music of Pooh and the extraordinary participation of Max Laudadio, the historic correspondent of Striscia la Notizia, in the role of the Genie of the Lamp. The musical is a story of love and friendship, of rebellion and justice, set in a fairy-tale frame enriched with a touch of magic, where the deepest dreams can become reality. The musical arrangements by Giovanni Maria Lori are based on the music of Roby Facchinetti, Dodi Battaglia, and Red Canzian.
Amid the palaces and alleyways of ancient Baghdad, the lives of two very different people are destined to intertwine. On one side, the sole heir to the throne, the young and rebellious Princess Jasmine, forced to marry without love to ensure the continuity of the Sultanate; on the other, the young Aladdin, a clever thief with a heart of gold and a pure soul, constantly pursued by the law. Their first meeting is love at first sight. However, their idyll is immediately threatened by the evil Grand Vizier, ready to interfere and deceive both for his thirst for power. It is the chance encounter between Aladdin and the Genie of the Lamp that gives the young man the strength to act, in an attempt to change his fate and that of his beloved.
