With more than 300 concerts being performed every year, the world-renowned Salzburg Fortress Concerts take their place among the most magnificent series of chamber music concerts. The special atmosphere of the 900 year-old Fortress Hohensalzburg together with the excellent acoustics of the Golden Hall ensure that the concert-goer experiences far more than just a concert. From the concert hall and high above the city, you have an incomparable and unique view of the town of Salzburg and its surroundings. Watching a Fortress Concert makes for an unforgettable experience and a highlight of your stay in Salzburg.
The most beloved works by Mozart and Strauss as well as other great masters of music are performed by internationally-renowned soloists.

Is the fortress funicular included in the ticket price? - The fortress funicular is included in the ticket price from 1 hour before concert begin.
How long does the fortress funicular run? - The ascent with the fortress funicular takes about 2 minutes. The fortress funicular runs every 10 minutes. The fortress funicular is operated until the last concert guest is in the city, until approx. 20 minutes after the concert.
