With more than 300 concerts being performed every year, the world-renowned Salzburg Fortress Concerts take their place among the most magnificent series of chamber music concerts. The special atmosphere of the 900 year-old Fortress Hohensalzburg together with the excellent acoustics of the Golden Hall ensure that the concert-goer experiences far more than just a concert. From the concert hall and high above the city, you have an incomparable and unique view of the town of Salzburg and its surroundings. The concert hall (only Golden hall) unfortunately does not provide disabled access for people with limited mobility.

Is the fortress funicular included in the ticket price? - The fortress funicular is included in the ticket price from 1 hour before concert begin.

How long does the fortress funicular run? - The ascent with the fortress funicular takes about 2 minutes. The fortress funicular runs every 10 minutes. The fortress funicular is operated until the last concert guest is in the city, until approx. 20 minutes after the concert.
