His gaze, his voice, his legendary hip swing: With over one billion records sold, Elvis Presley is regarded as the greatest solo artist of all time. “ELVIS – The Musical”, the world’s most successful musical biography of the “King,” is packed with all his biggest hits and offers a unique journey through the life of the Rock’n’Roll icon. His international breakthrough came in 1956 with the single “Heartbreak Hotel” and his debut LP “Elvis Presley”—his first major hit and the first rock’n’roll album to reach No. 1 on the charts. Seventy years later, the hit production brings Elvis back to the stage and will go on a major tour again in 2026 across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Elvis Aaron Presley, born on January 8, 1935, in Tupelo, Mississippi, became the most significant figure in 20th-century rock and pop culture over the course of his unparalleled career. The year 1956, marked by Presley’s first hit single “Heartbreak Hotel” and his debut album “Elvis Presley”, is considered the birth of the “King of Rock’n’Roll.” Presley gave his final concert in June 1977, shortly before passing away on August 16 from sudden cardiac arrest at his Graceland estate in Memphis, Tennessee. Yet his death is still surrounded by legends and myths, keeping Presley’s memory alive to this day. For his fans, he still lives on—at least in their hearts.
A powerful tribute to the “King of Rock’n’Roll”
Emotional, powerful, and captivating: “ELVIS – The Musical” allows audiences to relive the life of a generational idol up close, at key moments throughout his journey. From his first studio recording as a gift to his mother, to his early days with Sam Phillips at the regional label Sun Records and the release of his first single “That’s All Right” in 1954, his transition to the national RCA label, and his global breakthrough in 1956 with “Heartbreak Hotel”, the debut album “Elvis Presley”, and his manager “Colonel” Tom Parker—all the way to the legendary 1973 “Aloha from Hawaii” concert at the Honolulu International Center Arena, the first solo artist concert broadcast via satellite to over 40 countries and watched by more Americans than the first moon landing a few years earlier.
The two-and-a-half-hour live spectacle has already thrilled over a million viewers, bringing the magic of the Rock’n’Roll icon back to life on stage. It showcases Elvis Presley’s entire musical repertoire live—from gospel to blues to wild rock’n’roll—and offers a moving retrospective of his life.
