In 2022, a live recording full of brass compositions was made at the Porgy & Bess in Vienna. Nagl leads us through the world of "Gangster", "Auzinger" and "Plattinger", with strangely arranged circus music alternating with compositions similar to funeral dirges. A well-prepared ten-piece ensemble creates a wonderfully winding, repeatedly fast-paced ride reminiscent of Gustav Mahler and Werner Pirchner with a free music mood. Everyone takes on several tasks, sometimes it seems as if you are listening to a much larger big band. (Wolfgang Gratzer, Jazzpodium)
