Founded in 1980 and renowned worldwide for its performances of exceptional inventiveness and beauty, Momix is a company of dancer-illusionists founded and directed by Moses Pendleton. The visionary American choreographer evokes a universe of surreal imagery by blending human bodies, costumes, props, and lighting effects. Nature has always been Pendleton’s source of inspiration; in a new form, he revisits and reinvents his acclaimed masterpiece, Botanica, in an artistic evolution that unveils new depths, transforming it and leading it into unprecedented, dreamlike metamorphoses.
Through its unmistakable visual and choreographic language, Momix immerses the audience in a sensual and captivating experience, making us feel tiny in the presence of the buzzing of wasps, the sensuality of marigolds, the majesty of branches reaching toward the sky, and the vital energy of the sun. The performance is enhanced with innovative technological effects and three-dimensional imagery, creating a total experience that conveys the harmony and perfection of the life cycle, instilling the awareness that safeguarding the beauty and wonder of our planet is a responsibility that belongs to all of us.

The Teatro Verdi Firenze is the largest traditional Italian-style theatre in Tuscany. Located in the historic Santa Croce district, it has been a cultural landmark of the city for more than a century and a half. Its program embraces every form of performance, from opera and drama to dance and symphonic concerts. Owned by the ORT Foundation, the Teatro Verdi is the permanent home of the Orchestra della Toscana, which carries out a vibrant artistic activity that keeps Florence’s rich musical spirit alive.
