Orpheus and Eurydike

The ensemble Concordia Mundi brings Gluck's reform opera "Orpheus and Eurydice" to the stage in German in the rarely performed Viennese original version of 1762 (after Ranieri de' Calzabigi) – with the conciliatory, original ending, the famous "Vienna ending".
Experience the ancient Orpheus myth in its most comforting form: Cupid intervenes, the power of love triumphs over death, and Eurydice returns to Orpheus.
In historically inspired performance practice, a moving music theatre unfolds between Baroque and Classical periods – clear, immediate and profoundly human, characterized by the spirit of sensibility.
The crypt maintains a pleasant temperature at all times of the year.
