 In the unique acoustics of this sacred space, Pergolesi's music unfolds with touching intensity – intimate, sonically transparent and of spiritual depth.

The ensemble Artis Astra performs on historical instruments, bringing to life the subtle pain, tenderness, and profound devotion of this composition. The two soloists, Tamara Jagersberger (soprano) and Alexandra Aidonopoulou (alto), lend the dialogue between Mary and the contemplative person a compelling expressiveness and vocal elegance.

With Annalisa Virzì and Aliona Kalechyts-Pietrowskaja on the baroque violins, Gabriel Weinhandl on the baroque cello and Ana Maria Ospina on the harpsichord, a finely balanced, authentic baroque sound is created that allows Pergolesi's music to shine in all its emotional truthfulness.

The crypt maintains a pleasant temperature at all times of the year.
