BOUT THE ARTIST

TRUMPETS IN CONCERT celebrated its 25th stage anniversary last year. Founded by Leonhard Leeb, the Klassik Band has established itself with outstanding concerts at international festivals such as Bregenz Festspiele, Carinthian Summer, "Proms at St. Jude's" in London, a Canadian tour and a cultural guest performance to China (e.g. Deyang Music Festival at the Konzerthaus Deyang) gained its high international reputation. A highlight in her career was certainly the invitation of the Austrian Federal President Heinz Fischer, who asked her twice (2004, 2010) to frame his inauguration musically. The international classical labels NAXOS, worldwide release of the CD "Imperial Fanfares", and ARS Production have long since become aware of the trumpeters, and the BBC Online Magazine in London also dedicated an article to them. They played the world premiere "Fanfare for Carinthia" by Sir Peter Maxwell Davis as part of the Carinthian Summer. On the occasion of the Chinese New Year 2023, the Christmas concert was streamed live as a concert stream in China. In 2024, they opened the International Festival Carinthian Summer in the presence of Federal President Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen

Artistic brilliance and diverse, exciting programs merge into an evening full of emotions - whether in the halls of the concert halls or the sacral rooms of cathedrals and churches. This time the audience can be curious about baroque music, solemn fashions from church feasts and cheerful Christmas songs: Atmospheric pre-Christmas season with trumpets in the heated Vienna Minorite Church.
