Since they became virtually overnight sensations in 2011 with the song Schokoladnwind, covered by Willi Resetarits and Stubnblues, the foischn Wiener*innen have enchanted audiences time and again with effortless charm and daring humor. Their music is world music in the sound of Vienna – Viennese world music that blends blues, jazz, pop, waltz, and bossa nova without boundaries, yet flows unmistakably with the city’s sound. It celebrates life and love with a big Juhu, occasionally comedic, and always imbued with extraordinary linguistic brilliance and subtle attention to detail.

Fifteen years, five albums, and countless beautiful songs! From Die Liebe, da Dod und de aundan gfrasta to Ois vü leichta, the 15-year anniversary program of Martin Spengler & the foischn Wiener*innen spans this wide range. The anniversary show will be a collection of the most beautiful songs from 15 years and likely some new material as well. This special summer evening at Theater im Park features the full ensemble with violins and surprise guests.
