The Prague Congress Centre is one of the largest and most important event venues in the Czech Republic. Opened in 1981, the building was originally constructed as the Palace of Culture during the Czechoslovak era. After extensive renovations in the 1990s and early 2000s, it was modernized and renamed, becoming a prestigious international congress and concert venue. The Centre gained global recognition when it hosted the IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings in 2000, as well as numerous international summits, exhibitions, and cultural events.

Located in the Vyšehrad district, the venue offers panoramic views of Prague’s historic skyline, including Prague Castle. The main hall accommodates large-scale concerts, conferences, and gala events, while multiple smaller halls provide flexible spaces for meetings and performances. Its excellent acoustics make it a popular location for classical music concerts, film music performances, and contemporary shows.

The Prague Congress Centre is easily accessible by public transport. The metro line C (red line) stops directly at Vyšehrad station, just steps from the main entrance. It is also reachable by tram, taxi, or car, with on-site parking available. Its convenient location and modern facilities make it a key cultural and business hub in Prague.
