MIKULOV, the former imperial and royal capital Nikolsburg, with its 7,500 inhabitants, is situated on the southern slopes of the Weinviertler Klippe, which are covered with vines. The town, directly on Lower Austria's northern border - on the extended A5 motorway - is today THE South Moravian tourist magnet.


The top summer holiday destination in the Czech Republic has a lot to offer: To the north of the city the "Riviera" of the Mušov reservoir and the top wellness centre "Aqualand Moravia", in the inviting vineyards of the region a "wine paradise" including top Czech culinary delights, the cultural sites of Mikulov including the Lichtenstein Castle, as well as dozens of cycling and hiking trails in the beautiful landscape of South Moravia. In 30 minutes by car you can reach Brno / Brno - and the "Jakobsweg" leads from Mikulov directly to Falkenstein.


The immediate vicinity of the border, as well as the proximity to Poysdorf, is very advantageous for the festival structure. Via the A5, "Nordautobahn", Mikulov, 5 km away from the border town of Drasenhofen, is particularly good and can be reached quickly and easily in about 45 minutes from the Vienna conurbation (please do not forget your passport or identity card).
