Christian Bakanic's Trio Infernal feat. Paula Barembuem 'Nirgendwo und überall – Lebensgeschichten von Ein- und Auswanderung' (A/ARG)

Migration movements have always been part of our reality and will shape it even more intensively in the future. Violence and poverty are the main factors that force people to flee. But the pursuit of a better life, interpersonal relationships or pure curiosity also motivate many to leave their familiar surroundings behind.
With their new concert program, Paula Barembuem & Christian Bakanic's congenial Trio Infernal express the versatility of migration from different perspectives of leaving, arriving, receiving and returning. Their own compositions as well as selected songs from different cultures accompany stories of emigration and immigration: to a foreign country, within one's own culture, even into the depths of one's own psyche. Fear, hope, longing and courage form the common thread that connects all these destinies.

Music and lyrics in several languages flow into one another. With virtuosity, expressiveness and authenticity, the band, celebrated for their first album together, lets the touching life stories speak for themselves and emphasizes the courage behind each individual story.
