"Klemens Lendl's hymn-like words convey all the defiance that a thinking person can scrape together in times of multiple crises. In his tried and tested manner, he plays the sad clown for ten numbers, who, despite all the foolishness of our noncommittal times, does not want to be deprived of the joy of making music together, of the nonchalant wank, but also of world-weariness and lovesickness. This attitude cheers us up - and we desperately need it! (...) In doing so, they prove themselves to be masters of the sounding nuances as well as biting social criticism, inviting you to join in the thoughtful grooving and passionate amazement at the state of the world. Intelligent wit meets leiwande joy of playing, the unbearable lightness of being dances a hoppy waltz with complex song structures. (...) At last! The third album is finished and will be launched tonight.
After “Elegant” (2 “Sieben Zwetschken”), it succeeds in capturing many things at the same time: The joy of playing of good-humored musicians, the spark of spontaneity of genuine jazz musicians, the intimacy of the soulful storyteller, but also the defiance of the individual in the midst of an opaque world situation, in other words, the zeitgeist - without pandering to it."
