Saturday Night Fever | Musical
Tuesday 10 February 2026 - 20:00 & Wednesday 11 February 2026 - 20:00
Directed by John Badham, Saturday Night Fever is a 1977 musical film conceived as a tribute to disco music and the glamour of the 1970s. The film, which brought worldwide fame to actor John Travolta, was enriched by the popular hits of the time, especially the original songs by the Bee Gees. A global success that became a classic, it was adapted into a musical in 1998 and reached Broadway the following year. The Saturday Night Fever musical, produced by Compagnia della Rancia and directed by Mauro Simone, is inspired by the 1977 film and the story of Nik Cohn, and tells the story of Tony Manero, a young Italian-American from Brooklyn who leads a monotonous life, finding his only escape dancing in nightclubs on Saturday nights. His routine is disrupted when he meets Stephanie, a dance partner who dreams of a better life in Manhattan. On stage, 21 performers bring to life the legendary hits of the Bee Gees, from Stayin’ Alive and Night Fever to You Should Be Dancing, global disco music hits that are also anthems of freedom, courage, and the fight against marginalization.
