Soap&Skin - TORSO Tour
Anja Plaschg, also known as Soap&Skin, is touring Austria again.

The Austrian alternative singer-songwriter Anja Plaschg released her critically acclaimed album as Soap&Skin in 2009, achieving commercial success in her home country, reaching the top five. Plaschg was born on April 5, 1990, in Gnas, Austria, and grew up on a pig farm. As a teenager, she began writing and performing music on the piano and eventually studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. In 2008, she made her commercial recording debut as Soap&Skin with a self-titled four-track EP. The following year, at age 18, she released her debut album "Lovetune for Vacuum" on Pias Recordings. The album, consisting of songs written between 2005 and 2008, produced two hit singles ("Spiracle," "Mr. Gaunt Pt. 1000") and reached the top five of the Austrian album charts. It also charted internationally in France and Belgium. Reviews of "Lovetune for Vacuum" were generally positive, often comparing Plaschg to acclaimed female singer-songwriters such as Cat Power, Nico, Kate Bush, and Björk. In 2010, she won the European Breaker Borders Award for international success. The following year, she took a quiet period to focus on writing more material and other creative endeavors. In 2012, she made her acting debut in the German film "Stilleben." She then withdrew from the industry for several years to focus on her private life before returning in mid-2018 with her third album "From Gas to Solid/You Are My Friend."
