Wiener Comedian Harmonists
Entry of the Gladiators
Look forward to a very special concert with Christoph Wagner-Trenkwitz!
The Wiener Comedian Harmonists sing, swing, and entertain their audience with both well-known and lesser-known songs from the 1920s and 1930s, as well as with new interpretations of contemporary songs and beloved opera classics. The five gentlemen of the State Opera chorus and their pianist manage, with a generous dose of Viennese charm, great ease, and humor, to delight their listeners again and again. The Kraus family meets and wonders what Marie is up to today; the Stars & Stripes sparkle when the guitars begin to play. From Veronika, Spring Is Here to Puttin’ on the Ritz, from Ali Baba to Nessun dorma, no wish is left unfulfilled, and top-level musical entertainment is guaranteed. In the best of spirits, the audience concludes at the end of the evening: What a wonderful world.
Christoph Wagner-Trenkwitz, as master of ceremonies, guides humorously and warmly through the varied program and entertains the audience with anecdotes and little stories surrounding the musical pieces.
